What I do with the information you give me when you order, get in touch, or sign up to my newsletter. In short: I use it to make and send your order, and I do not sell it to anyone.
Who is responsible for your information
Janine Partington, Bristol, United Kingdom, is the data controller for this website. If you have any question about your information, email me at mail@janinepartington.co.uk and I will answer personally.

What I collect
When you order: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, telephone number if you give it, and the details of what you have ordered — including any comment or enquiry you send with it.
When you get in touch or sign up to my newsletter: your name and email address, and whatever you write to me.
Card details are handled entirely by my payment provider and I never see them. To confirm: the payment provider to be named here
Why I use it
To make your piece, take payment, send your order and answer your questions — that is, to perform our contract.
To keep proper business and tax records, which I am required by law to do.
To send you my newsletter, but only if you have asked for it. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask me to stop at any time. To confirm: the mailing-list provider, so it can be named here
Who else sees it
Only those who need to: my courier so your parcel can reach you, my payment provider, my accountant, and the website, email and mailing-list providers whose systems store the information but who may not use it themselves. Each handles your information under their own obligations, and none of them may use it for their own marketing.
I never sell or rent your information, and I do not share it for advertising.
Cookies
This website uses the cookies it needs to work — remembering what is in your basket and keeping you signed in. Those cannot be turned off without breaking the shop functions.

How long I keep it
Order and payment records are kept for six years, as HMRC requires. Enquiries and commission correspondence are kept while they are useful and then deleted. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, or object to how I am using it. Email me and I will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though I would be grateful for the chance to put it right first.
